My first career has been mining. I started Placer mining in the Klondike in 1977. I worked for a bizarre German company called Cogasa on the sixty mile River. My first position was mechanics helper and equipment operator. I got to run all the heavy machinery from D9 and HD25 buldozers, to a Cat16 grader and 641 Scrapers. This was a very crazy place to work. Even to the extent that one party had one of the crew hanging naked upside down from the rafters in the kitchen. I still love mining, I love to go out prospecting and panning. My speciality now is gravity concentration. I have designed and manufactured several concentrating machines, mostly jigs and shaking tables.
This is what it is all about.
